Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for operation of a branch library. Supervises
paraprofessional branch staff. Work includes developing library
collections, planning programs, and providing all aspects of public
library services. Includes evening and weekend hours. Works under the
supervision of the Head of Branch Libraries.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation with a master's degree in library science from a graduate
library school accredited by the American Library Association;
experience working as a Librarian; or an equivalent combination of
experience and training.

Special Requirement: Must be able to acquire certification by the North
Carolina Public Library Certification Commission.
