Library Director
Calcasieu Parish Public Library

The Director reports to a 9-member Board of Control. Position calls
for excellent communication skills, proven fiscal knowledge,
understanding of library technology and trends, and ability to develop
and maintain effective working relationships with Board, staff and the
community.

Successful candidate will have an ALA accredited master's degree, plus
a minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible post-MLS library
experience, including at least 3 years serving in an administrative
capacity. Candidate must have LA certification or ability to attain
certification from the Louisiana Board of Library Examiners within the
first 3 years of employment.

Salary is negotiable from $72,000.00 plus a comprehensive benefits
package.
