COLLECTION SERVICES LIBRARIAN

Princeton Theological Seminary Libraries is seeking candidates for two positions:

COLLECTION SERVICES LIBRARIAN - This position is responsible for supervising procedures related to the acquisition, cataloging, and general processing of the Library's collections; planning and implementing work-flow design; supervising a dozen staff members; developing open-source and open-access strategies; and processing materials as time permits. Reporting to the Library Director, this position works closely with the Collection Development Librarian, the Collection Management Librarian, and the Systems Librarian. Preferred qualifications include having an ALA-accredited masters degree in library science or equivalent; three or more years of academic library experience; demonstrated command of the acquisitions, serials, and cataloging modules of the Voyager ILS; and excellent management skills.

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT LIBRARIAN - This position is responsible for developing and implementing innovative initiatives related to the acquisition, processing, and shelving of library materials, as well as acting as a liaison between the Seminary Library and a growing number of partner institutions. Reporting to the Collection Development Librarian, the Collection Management Librarian also works closely with the Collection Services Librarian. Preferred qualifications include having an ALA-accredited masters degree in library science or equivalent; three or more years of academic library experience including some work in technical services; theology subject knowledge (M.Div. degree or equivalent); and a demonstrated entrepreneurial ability.
